Mailbox Collection
The American mailboxes shown on the left are located in the proximity of the Brooklin bridge in New York.
The picture to the left shows two American mailboxes. The mailboxes are for pedestrian use whilst an alternative is shown on the right for the busy motorist. The blue mailbox is for conventional letters and mail, whilst the green mailbox is used for posting small parcels.
The mailboxes shown on the right are an adaptation of the standard USPS collection box and are known as Snorkel Collection Boxes. These are intended for drive thru access, the motorists are able to post their mail without leaving their car.
