Lettasafe manufacture a variety of mailboxes designed to fit through a brick wall. The main advantage of this type of letterbox is that the mail is stored in the wall area between the front and rear letter box castings making it extra secure. Another advantage is that the mail is retrieved from the rear of the postbox from within your property or wall boundary.
There are several types of Lettasafe mailboxes which are suitable for through the wall fixing.
The Kingsbury and Bloomsbury mailboxes have a solid aluminium front casting whilst the front of the Thames postbox is made from solid Welsh slate, the Stamford letterplate is made from solid brass and finished with a choice of either polished brass, brushed or polished chrome or a textured black powder coat finish. The Stamford postbox chute is made from solid 3mm steel. The inner sleeve on all of the range of postboxes is made from sturdy zintec coated steel plate. The remainder of the castings are made from solid aluminium. All of the letterbox castings have a thorough 7 stage pre-treatment stage before being powder coated with a low bake enamel.
